E-government, Policy and Law

Many observers have claimed that ICTs have produced a profound transformation in the way organisations work. During the last decade governments have largely invested in ICTs to improve the quality of government actions, reinvent practices of government agencies, and the relationships between these agencies and citizens.
The E-GOV track intends to assess the state of the art in e-government/governance, including related laws and policies, to provide new ideas for research in the area of e-government, guidance to public mangers involved in the –government action, and to support the development of application in this fast-moving field.
Innovative research in the area of e-government, case studies of e-government projects and of systems implementation are especially welcomed. Contributions to the ICEC are expected to mirror current developments in e-government and to address one or more of the following topics:
